" At a certain age memories can be abundant. Water, the lake, the sea, and boats have been with me since my early years, since when, at the end of the 60s I began to spend mythical summers in my lake in Gardato. I bought my first sailboat third-hand in 1993. I then bought two more, which stayed with me until what feels almost like yesterday, but it was actually five years ago. I wished to buy a more spacious, more confortable boat and that’s when I met Claudio. Our first contacts took place in 2009, by phone. The first impression was outstanding, and I’ve always been of the idea that first impressions are very unlikely wrong. I saw the boat, a new 45 feet long boat that had just been presented to the public. I thought it was a bit too much, even though that really was love at first sight. At the end of summer 2012, after a year and a half, I decided to make this risky decision. In the meanwhile I had also left my beloved lake and brought my old boat to the sea. I bought the new boat and sold the old one; during this whole process, Claudio supported me professionally and competence, but also with humanity and a degree of availability that is truly difficult to find. He made everything easier for me. I could not think of a better relationship. Even today, almost after three years, we are often in touch, and I know I have a friend who is always available for expert advice. "
" You and I met about 10 years ago, at the Genoa International Boat Show. Until that moment I had only owned powerboats and I had never even thought of buying a sailing boat. It was thanks to you, to your professional and human skills that I could approach sailing with great enthusiasm. It was love and it became stronger and stronger in the course of the following months; its pinnacle being the day when I finalised the purchase of the boat that fulfilled and that still fulfils my needs. I have always appreciated your technical and commercial competence, your availability and patience, the ability to listen to my questions, even when these were not coherent and to answer all of them, your style and your indispensable human skills, that have encouraged the development of a personal relation. All this created a friendship that lasted in time and that amplifies our mutual respect. "
" It was 2009 and I wanted to buy a new, bigger boat. I started visiting different docks and asking information to various dealers and sellers. After a number of visits and owning a big variety of catalogues, I met Claudio. My first impression was very positive from the very beginning. Differently from others who tried to emphasise boats’ features while disregarding rival makes, Claudio illustrated with a plethora of technical details the boat I would subsequently end up buying. In choosing the equipment, too. He had provided excellent advice, aiming to understand exactly what I was in need of. An example is when I thought I needed and enquired for an electric winch to lift the mainsail. He advised against it, just as he did when I wanted to install an unneeded power unit.
The whole assistance was impeccable, including insurance, registration, leasing and licensing, facilitating anything I needed to do, even transporting the boat and leaving me doubtless with regards to the instrumentation. He was available and very patient, easy to reach, on the phone, too. It is with serenity that I can say that should I change my boat again, I would contact Claudio again. He has proven to be trustworthy, with his honestly, competence, and transparency. "
" When we met I was in a truly peculiar situation: I was trying to restart the adventure of buying a boat after 30 years. The first time didn’t go as I hoped it would. A painful separation had had repercussions on everything in my life, including my boat. I was trying again at that moment, with the wise hesitations of the adult age, but also a lot being scared of doing the wrong choice.
You have been an unexpected interlocutor. Instead of using the listing of accessories (which would have made the final cost grow), you have tried to understand what the real use of the boat would be, motivating the choices that you were recommending in the light of your experience. I have now been using that boat for five years and I’m still very happy with the result. Time and different occasions have led me to understand – and appreciate – some of the decisions I took at that time, out of trust. I wanted to thank you for this, as well as for your patient assistance, which is something that I’ve been able to count on in following the years, too. I wanted to say thank you, for the opportunity of sharing your experience as a skipper all those times when I needed it the most. Your presence on board was something I could count on. Thank you for being available when my job posed limits to my time off; you’ve often took on the responsibility of big transfers – all by yourself – in order to let me enjoy destinations which otherwise I would have not had a chance to visit.
